Last chance for Secretariat look-a-like

Sept. 7, 2009 – LAST CHANCE FOR SECRETARIAT LOOK-A-LIKE TO BE A STAR
The Secretariat on-line equine casting call has officially ended. Over 700 entries representing 42 states and 10 different countries sent in submissions. Mayhem Pictures would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in the process. “There were so many nice candidates and such a great outpouring of pride and affection from their owners who sent in submissions”, said Rusty Hendrickson, lead wrangler for the film who had the difficult task of selecting the equine cast. “But no matter how close we come, there will only be one Secretariat and he will never be duplicated.”

For those whose submission was not initially selected, Secretariat.com is pleased to announce that there is one last chance for horses seeking stardom. The 2009 Bourbon County Secretariat Festival, taking place on September 26th in Paris, Kentucky is featuring a Secretariat Look-Alike contest with $5000 in guaranteed prize money and Hendrickson will be serving as one of the celebrity guest judges. “We are very pleased with our current selections but we look forward to seeing the Festival contestants up close and in person,” said Hendrickson. “We have kept one slot in our film stable vacant for that special horse who might emerge from the Look-Alike contest displaying all the qualities we are seeking.”

Secretariat Look-A-like Contest candidates should complete and return the Pre-selection Look-A-like Application Form by September 16. A maximum of 20 horses will be allowed to compete in the contest. Selected contestants will be notified no later than Friday, September 18th of invitation confirmation to the event.
