Problem : If a horse gets the most incredible time and its record lasts and lasts...but all the other races he has participated in were any , does that take anything away from its record ? We could certainly say that he is a lazy horse...that he is not stable , not regular , not reliable for betting...BUT he would always be the best ,the fastest . Greatness is not measured by stability or gains but by explosions of which the horse is capable ! When the crowd rises it is the most reliable because it knows that the incredible is happening . The crowd inside the Preakness race track is revealing because it moved towards the finish line . Even the childrens understood the importance of these races because they could see the adults shaking like leaves in the wind . Childrens know how to give meaning to fundamental things much better than many adults ....even many judges . When many childrens cried during these races , they were a mirror of the situation . Secretariat is the Balto of horserace , loved and admired .
