Saratoga Historic Program Framed Displays

Description

Design your own historic display celebrating Secretariat’s early victories at Saratoga Racecourse during his 1972 championship season as a 2-year-old. His three races and commanding victories at the famed “Spa” in upstate New York provided the foundation for continued success that year and ultimately led to the Meadow Stable colt being named 1972 Horse of the Year — an unprecedented feat for a juvenile.

The trio of Saratoga Race Displays offered here are:

July 31, 1972 Amber Morn Allowance – Secretariat’s initial race at Saratoga as well as the first time he would have regular rider Ron Turcotte aboard.

Aug. 16, 1972 Sanford Stakes – Secretariat’s first stakes competition, and the only race in his career in which he was not favored to win.

Aug. 26, 1972 Hopeful Stakes – Secretariat’s commanding performance in one of the most prestigious juvenile stakes in the sport

Each display combines your choice of 8″ x 10″ winner’s circle photograph along with the corresponding track program cover and interior entry page set within an elegant double matted framed display to suit your individual aesthetic preference. Display options include program cover, race photo, matting color, and brass halter-tag name plate.

Secretariat fans and racing memorabilia collectors recognize that original programs from Secretariat’s juvenile season are extremely scarce and can command premium prices on the collectible market. To assist affordability, the displays offer perfectly detailed facsimiles of the program’s exterior cover and interior entry pages. However, for the more discerning collectors, program covers can be upgraded to a historic original as part of the presentation. Displays measure approximately 16″ x 25″ in total including classic black matte hardwood frame. Please allow up to two weeks for delivery and contact us about Program Displays for additional races. Note: Winner’s circle photo may be available hand-signed by Ron Turcotte, please contact us upon purchase.

Enjoy one or all, and show your Big Red pride with these racing treasures!
