Arlington Stretch Drive Limited Photo Offering

Description

This rarely seen head-on perspective features Secretariat with jockey Ron Turcotte aboard driving to the finish in the June 30, 1973 Arlington Invitational at Arlington Park in Illinois. The dynamic color image captures horse and rider, both bedecked in the distinctive blue and white Meadow Stable colors, as they near the wire in the four-horse field at the beautiful and now-shuttered Chicago track. The photograph emphasizes Secretariat’s absolute dominance over his trailing competitors in the distance, resulting in an official time of 1:47 for the 1 1/8 mile distance, just missing Damascus’ track record by 1/5 of a second.

This limited offering 8” x 10” photo from the Secretariat.com Archives may be available with the option of being hand-signed by Mr. Turcotte, please inquire upon purchase. Available on a first-come basis while quantities last.
