Secretariat “Stud” by Dell Hancock

Description

This classic photo by Claiborne Farm’s own Dell Hancock remains the quintessential image of Secretariat as a stallion enjoying the second phase of his storied life and legacy. The definitive image of a seasoned and mature Big Red showcases the resplendent chestnut’s perfect conformation and regal stature at the height of his stud career. From the massive musculature throughout his shoulders and hindquarters to the majestic arched crest of his neck, he is the embodiment of every Thoroughbred breeder’s hopes and dreams.

During his 16 years of residence in the Kentucky Bluegrass, the legendary athlete evolved into a legendary stallion, siring over 650 foals, including several champions and the first million dollar sales yearling in the history of the sport. His breeding influence accounts for some of the finest pedigrees in today’s thoroughbred industry through the prepotent bloodlines of his descendants Storm Cat, A.P. Indy, and Gone West.

The photo is available in your choice of 8 x 10, 11 x 14, and 16 x 20 sizing and may be available with the option of being hand-signed by Secretariat’s own Triple Crown winning Jockey Ron Turcotte, please inquire upon purchase. The perfect gift for any patriarch, stallion or stud in your own family!
