Profiles in Perfection (limited)

Description

These gorgeous paired images originating from Belmont Park in the spring of Secretariat’s 3-year-old season capture Big Red with groom Eddie Sweat holding the future Triple Crown champion outside his barn at the historic track. Both images, one taken in pure profile and the other attractively angled, put Secretariat’s picture-perfect conformation on full display.

The third offering in Mr. Haskin’s never-before-published photography series, “Profiles in Perfection” is limited to 50 pieces of each photo produced as a special numbered edition on museum quality metallic stock to further enhance the luster and dimension of this image. The images are produced in impressive 8” x 12” landscape formatting that conveys the pastoral atmosphere of the racetrack’s backside.

Available individually or as a matched pair with the option of being set in ready-to-frame archival matting. Please inquire about pieces hand-signed by Secretariat’s Hall of Fame jockey Ron Turcotte.

“What I like most about these photos, taken on an April morning, was that for Secretariat and the Meadow Stable, it was still a time of promise and great expectations. But with it came the day-to-day pressure of having the first ever $6 million horse. Here, Big Red poses like the greats of yesteryear before embarking on his journey to immortality.” ~ Steve Haskin
