Bob Coglianese Collection

Bob was a veritable institution for the New York Racing Association chronicling some of the biggest moments in Thoroughbred horse racing history.

In 1972 and 1973, Bob Coglianese had the good fortune to be the official track photographer for the New York Racing Association where he captured the famed campaign of Secretariat as he dramatically stamped his imprint on Thoroughbred racing in America.

Secretariat raced in New York in 16 of his 21 career starts, and Secretariat.com is proud to offer a selection of Mr. Coglianese’s favorite images of the great champion. His iconic photo capturing Secretariat’s 31-length victory in the Belmont Stakes helped embed Big Red into the consciousness of the American public and will perpetually be a part of the 1973 Triple Crown champion’s enduring legacy.

Unlike some lesser imitations, each photo in the collection originates from the Coglianese family and is produced from the original negative on archival paper stock. This is the real deal!
