Tony Leonard Collection

The late Tony Leonard has been described as “the Ansel Adams of equine photography.” His artistry with a camera is legendary, as is his extraordinary body of work. Tony captured nearly every major thoroughbred champion, both in action and at stud, in a career that spanned more than 40 years. Like so many, Secretariat was his favorite subject and Leonard’s esteemed reputation as an artist within the racing community allowed him continued access to Big Red throughout his racing career and as a stallion at Claiborne Farm. The result is a treasure trove of iconic images and fond memories that continue to perpetuate Secretariat’s legacy – now and for generations to come. This exclusive offering represents an incredible opportunity for any racing fan or Secretariat collector.
