Vintage 1973 Triple Crown Portrait Print
$50.00
From the personal collection of Ron Turcotte
Description
Transport yourself back to the early 70’s with this throwback offering from the personal collection of Secretariat’s jockey Ron Turcotte. This original vintage print was produced in conjunction with a promotional sponsorship between Mr. Turcotte, Cadillac, and the Delaware Motor Sales Company following Secretariat’s 1973 Triple Crown victory. A time capsule of sorts, the print was created more than four decades before both American Pharoah and Justify swept racing’s pinnacle prize, and even prior to the future arrival of Big Red’s fellow 70s Triple Crown champions Seattle Slew and Affirmed, highlighting Secretariat amidst the eight other Triple Crown champions of the time.
The fine art embossed talio-chrome print by mid-20th century American artist Stan Fenelle spotlights Secretariat amidst the eight other smaller charcoal illustrations representing the existing Triple Crown winners at the time: Sir Barton, Gallant Fox, Omaha, War Admiral, Whirlaway, Count Fleet, Assault, and Citation. Each 16″ x 12” print contains the authentic hand-signed autograph of Mr. Turcotte and is offered in pristine condition in its own individual original packaging envelope with complimentary information card. A limited and historic offering directly from the archive of Secretariat’s legendary rider – order yours now!
