Winner’s Circle Photo
Description
Celebrating Secretariat’s first career win, we are pleased to offer the official winner’s circle photo from Secretariat’s maiden victory at Aqueduct Racetrack on July 15, 1972.
The composite New York Racing Association official photo features Secretariat with jockey Paul Feliciano aboard racing in the homestretch and posing in the winner’s circle following his impressive six-length victory in the race. Feliciano rode the future champion in Secretariat’s first two starts when regular jockey Ron Turcotte was unavailable. Holding Secretariat in the winner’s circle is groom Mordecai Williams. This would be the only time Secretariat would wear the number “9” on his saddlecloth.
Start or add to your Secretariat Winner’s Circle photo collection with this historically significant and scarce piece of racing memorabilia. Measures 8″ x 10″ with larger sizes available by special order.
